Technology Direction 01

RISC-V Platform

An embedded technology platform under development for GNSS/PNT, precise timing, real-time and specialised industrial applications.

What it is

A RISC-V based embedded technology platform intended for specialised industrial applications rather than general-purpose computing.

How it develops

Architecture and processor core → FPGA implementation → software and integration environment → specialised functions → SoC / ASIC integration.

Where it fits

GNSS/PNT, precise timing, real-time embedded systems, FPGA-based products, defence & aerospace, and industrial / critical infrastructure.

Platform Concept

From Architecture to Industrial Application

Makomo develops the RISC-V direction as an embedded technology platform rather than only a standalone core. The objective is to provide a technological foundation that can be adapted to specialised systems and can evolve from FPGA implementation toward product-level integration.

The RISC-V direction is positioned as a broader platform covering architecture, core design, FPGA implementation, software integration, specialised functions and SoC / ASIC integration.
Application Areas

Where the Platform Fits

The current focus is not general-purpose computing, but specialised applications where integration flexibility, real-time behaviour and technology control matter.

RISC-V Platform application areas
Indicative application areas include GNSS/PNT, precise timing, real-time embedded systems, FPGA-based products, defence and aerospace, and industrial / critical infrastructure.
Cooperation

From Evaluation to Long-Term Integration

Makomo is interested in industrial dialogue from early evaluation through platform licensing and long-term integration.

RISC-V Platform cooperation model
Potential cooperation formats include technology evaluation, proof-of-concept work, joint development, platform licensing and SoC / ASIC cooperation.
Areas for Dialogue

Industrial and technical cooperation

Technology evaluation · Joint development · Platform licensing · FPGA integration · SoC / ASIC cooperation

We are particularly interested in discussions with teams developing embedded electronics, FPGA / SoC platforms, GNSS/PNT, timing and real-time systems.
